House project

The project:
These past few weeks in ecomm we have been making a house using sketch-up. We went on findmyhouseplans.com and found a house that we liked. Then we went into to sketch-up and tried to make a house that looked just like the plans we found on the website. Before we started on the house we practiced by making chairs, so it was a little easier going into the project.

What I learned:
We learned how to do a lot of things during this project. We learned how to use sketch up, we have used it a little before but this time we really went into detail. The biggest thing is that we learned how to use every tool and what each tool did. We learned that some tools are similar but can also do totally different things. Then we learned shortcuts and tricks on how to make parts of the house faster and make them look better too.

How It went:
The project went pretty well. It was really hard at first because there are so many different tools that you can use. It was also kind of overwhelming when I was first starting my house because I didn't know where to start. I had to start three times because I always messed something up. But eventually I got the hang of it and it got a lot easier. I hope we get to create more things like this in the future.

On the first day we got our teams and started thinking of ideas that we could draw that would symbolize each one of us. But the symbols had to sort of have the same theme throughout the drawing. So we each came up with four ideas that we could use. Some were similar and some not at all. For my symbols I chose a red rose which means promise, a sun which I think means happy, a tree for nature, hearts for love, and an American flag for USA. ball animations

The project  We did three animations with a bouncing ball. For all of the animations we used photoshop. For the first animation we made grass using a grass tool and made different variations of the grass to make it look realistic. Next we used the circle tool to make a ball. Then we created a time line, which is how you make the ball move. You have to make multiple slides, on each slide you move the ball farther and farther. In the first one the ball was going up in down so I made the ball go from the top of the screen to the bottom. Then to make it bounce up I had to add more slides and fix the transparency. For the second one we had to make the ball bounce in an arc two times. I did the same thing as before with the grass, and with the slides except instead of going down and up the ball went in an arc. For the third one we could do whatever we want so like the second one I had my ball bounce twice then I had it go in a loop for the last part, I did that by adding more slides. ...

Making your own website

The Project This past week in e-Comm we had to make our own website. We used the program dreamweaver while doing this project. To get through the project we watched videos on google classroom that mr. Olsen had made. For our website we had a home page, a project page, and we had to include a side bar with links to the school, e-Comm, and our blog page. For the home page we made an elevator pitch , which is basically just talking about our best qualities. For our project t page we had to put some of our projects we have done in e-Comm so far. I chose two projects from graphic design and another two from animation. We also had to include the blog posts that went along with these four projects.  What I learned I learned a lot while doing this project. We learned how to use a new program dreamweaver, all of the different tools and their functions. There were a lot of pieaces that went along with dreamweaver, compared to photoshop and other programs we have used in the past...
