water color transfer prints the process   When we were assigned this project we were asked to use one of our previous projects and print it out. Then we were asked to water color a piece of paper that we would later put our project on. When those steps were both complete we had to mod podge the picture design side down so that the pictures ink would print on the water color. Then we had to use a squeegee and get all of the extra mod podge and air bubbles out from the picture. We had to wait for the mod podge to dry before we scratched the paper off. Two days later we used water to scratch the paper off of the water color. feature story the project process  When we were assigned this project we were asked to do a feature story on someone in our class. First we sat down and asked our partner a bunch of general questions such as hobbies, favorite food, and favorite color. After taking notes on basic questions we had to find one topic to focus on. While finding a topic we had to keep in mind that we would be needing lots of b roll and natural sound for the interview. I ending up choosing band as my partners topic. I thought it would be great since dance team performs with the band so I was familiar with the topic. printing processes relief printing relief printing is a process where the surface faces of the paint block are inked; empty areas are ink free. Printing the image is a simple task in inking the face of the matrix, making a firm contrast with the paper.   1.) Prep your block, you can tone it using Indian wash or jet black film ink. 2.) personal narrative/panorama project For this project I used New York City as my theme. My parents surprised my sister and I with a trip to New York over spring break. Our hotel was right in the middle of Times Square so we were always entertained.  We were only there for four ways but they were jam packed with fun things to do. Our flight landed around 7pm New York time, but instead of having dinner we went straight to dessert. The next day we walked around and just admired the city, we stopped into a lot of the stores! I had such a fun time looking through all of the stores. They have a lot of the same stores that we have nearby but the stores in New York are so much bigger. The second day was my favorite day, the day I saw Wicked! We went to go see the show around noon, but I woke up so early because I was too excited! pop art project starting the project When I started this project I was very excited. I love looking because it is so unique and different than other pictures. I had ideas from other pictures I had seen in the past but I wanted to make it different. We had requirements for this project like using a variety of colors, adding a filter, using blending modes, and adding adjustment and layer masks. I knew I had to meet the requirements but I wanted to add more.  color scheme For my color scheme I wanted to add as many colors as possible. At first I thought it looked too busy and I just used one color but different shades to make it look ombre. Nature man project  ideas As soon as the project was assigned to us I wanted to use water and thing of nature. I couldn't figure out how to make the water part look good. So I ended up just using the pictures that were in the server. The pictures were of trees and outdoor things so it was still close to my original idea. I didn't want the pictures to look exactly like they did in the server so I tried to change them up a bit. I added few effects and layers to make the pictures look more original.  the process   When I was doing this project I was thinking that I wanted my project to look subtle and not as bright. I really wanted the pictures to blend and not have a huge contrast between the pictures. I started with the hair because I really wanted the hair to be the focus of the picture. so I had a bigger contrast between the jacket and his hair.                                   Photo editing in photoshop what I learned  I learned a lot while doing this project. It was our first project that we had to do this school year, I thought it was going to be really hard because  I hadn’t done anything with Photoshop since the last day of school.  Luckily the project was easier than expected because we followed step-by-step off of videos.  I liked this project a lot because we got to do more photo editing while last year we did more of creating logos.  I feel that I learned so much from just doing this first project and I can’t wait to see what I will learn throughout the school year.  Tools  Like I said before we are doing more photo editing this year.
