Making your own website

The Project
This past week in e-Comm we had to make our own website. We used the program dreamweaver while doing this project. To get through the project we watched videos on google classroom that mr. Olsen had made. For our website we had a home page, a project page, and we had to include a side bar with links to the school, e-Comm, and our blog page. For the home page we made an elevator pitch , which is basically just talking about our best qualities. For our project t page we had to put some of our projects we have done in e-Comm so far. I chose two projects from graphic design and another two from animation. We also had to include the blog posts that went along with these four projects.

What I learned
I learned a lot while doing this project. We learned how to use a new program dreamweaver, all of the different tools and their functions. There were a lot of pieaces that went along with dreamweaver, compared to photoshop and other programs we have used in the past. We learned a bunch of code that went behind the program and the things we were putting onto our website. It as interesting to see everything that goes into the program, this was one of the best parts of the project for me.  I learned how to edit a picture so its able to be pasted in a blog, along with some of my blog posts, projects I have done in the past, and links to websites. The best part was being able to style the website. We chose different colors to use on different parts of our website. I liked it because we got to chose what we wanted it to look like. Because the whole project was following videos step by step...being able to create something on our own was really fun!

How it went
This projects went really well. At first I was really nervous because making your own website sounds like a big task. But having Mr. Olsen's videos helped a lot because he took us step by step. The project was hard at first just because I had to learn how to use the program. But once I used it more and more it got easier. The hardest part of the project for me was putting all of my projects onto the project page, because it took a long time to find my projects, put them into the server folder, then put them on the page. I really liked doing this project because it was different from others we have done in the past. I liked it because we got to put the things we have done in e-Comm so far and put it all into one big project. I am hoping to do many more projects like this one in the future!

My personality type

After taking the Meyers-Briggs test it said my personality type was ENTJ. I am 9% extravert, 16% intuitive,1% thinking, and 16% judging. The test also said I take control of the situation and if there is a problem I try and fix it. I try to find new solutions instead of using other solutions I've used in the past or things other people have done. I like to plan out everything I do and set goals for myself while helping others set theirs, I also tend to share my knowledge. I went to another site and it said I like to spend my time talking to others. It also said I think through all of my decisions before I make them. I excel at logical reasoning and am quick-witted. People who have my type of personality are usually refered to as the commander because of our drive to take charge. We also went to a website where it told us celebrities who have the same personality type as us. A few people who are ENTJ are Napoleon because he was a general and emporer of France, Bill gates b...

Maddy Samuelson Sidewalk chalk

On the first day we got our teams and started thinking of ideas that we could draw that would symbolize each one of us. But the symbols had to sort of have the same theme throughout the drawing. So we each came up with four ideas that we could use. Some were similar and some not at all. For my symbols I chose a red rose which means promise, a sun which I think means happy, a tree for nature, hearts for love, and an American flag for USA. To be similar we all tried to do nature related things but like I said before some were a little off topic. On day two our groups started sketching the things we wanted to draw on paper. Some things that people chose they didn't like anymore so they changes some symbols. What I did is I had a few symbols from the day before and I added some so that I could fill all of my space up. I We also had to decide how we were going to draw all of our symbols on the ground. We wanted to be able to tell that we all had different ideas so we divided our sq...

ball animations

The project  We did three animations with a bouncing ball. For all of the animations we used photoshop. For the first animation we made grass using a grass tool and made different variations of the grass to make it look realistic. Next we used the circle tool to make a ball. Then we created a time line, which is how you make the ball move. You have to make multiple slides, on each slide you move the ball farther and farther. In the first one the ball was going up in down so I made the ball go from the top of the screen to the bottom. Then to make it bounce up I had to add more slides and fix the transparency. For the second one we had to make the ball bounce in an arc two times. I did the same thing as before with the grass, and with the slides except instead of going down and up the ball went in an arc. For the third one we could do whatever we want so like the second one I had my ball bounce twice then I had it go in a loop for the last part, I did that by adding more slides. ...
