The Project

This project was meant for us to learn about color and how to use adobe illustrator. On the first day we learned about different color schemes. We also learned about different shades, tints, and hues of colors. Then we were taught how to use adobe illustrator, then we learned how to use tools and shortcuts.

What we learned

We learned a lot when we started this project. First we learned about all different kinds of color schemes that I didn't even know existed. Like complementary, primary, secondary, triad, analogous and split complementary. We learned how to use adobe illustrator. There is a tool bar on the side that we had to use. There were lots of different tools that did really cool things to our project. We also learned how to do the basics like how to create a new file and save the file.

How was the project

The project was really fun to do. At first when I was using illustrator it was hard because you had to change certain things on the tool bar. But as I added more shapes and colors it got easier and took me less time to do. If I were to do this project again I think it could be way better because now that I know the basic tools I could maybe use even more tools to make it look more interesting/different. I'm really glad we got to do this project because I learned so much and will be able to use all of this information on projects I'll do in the future!

Self performance review Project 1 For one of my projects we were assigned to take ten pictures and then put then together to create a panorama. I chose to use pictures that I took of New York over spring break. The project took around a week to complete. I faced a few challenges with my design. It was hard to find somewhere to start because I had a lot goin on in my pictures. I found that the pictures I chose had a lot of buildings so I had to include some other pictures I took from the vacation so I would have a variety of pictures in my panorama. Doing this project I learned a lot about photoshop. With putting multiple pictures together you have to make sure they blend. I started to use the blend tool as I put certain pictures together. Sometimes the blend tool wouldn't work so I would use the clone stamp tool to take parts of a picture and put it on the picture next to it. I was told to so...

My personality type

After taking the Meyers-Briggs test it said my personality type was ENTJ. I am 9% extravert, 16% intuitive,1% thinking, and 16% judging. The test also said I take control of the situation and if there is a problem I try and fix it. I try to find new solutions instead of using other solutions I've used in the past or things other people have done. I like to plan out everything I do and set goals for myself while helping others set theirs, I also tend to share my knowledge. I went to another site and it said I like to spend my time talking to others. It also said I think through all of my decisions before I make them. I excel at logical reasoning and am quick-witted. People who have my type of personality are usually refered to as the commander because of our drive to take charge. On the first day we got our teams and started thinking of ideas that we could draw that would symbolize each one of us. But the symbols had to sort of have the same theme throughout the drawing. So we each came up with four ideas that we could use. Some were similar and some not at all. For my symbols I chose a red rose which means promise, a sun which I think means happy, a tree for nature, hearts for love, and an American flag for USA. To be similar we all tried to do nature related things but like I said before some were a little off topic. On day two our groups started sketching the things we wanted to draw on paper.
