Making your own website

The Project This past week in e-Comm we had to make our own website. We used the program dreamweaver while doing this project. To get through the project we watched videos on google classroom that mr. Olsen had made. For our website we had a home page, a project page, and we had to include a side bar with links to the school, e-Comm, and our blog page. For the home page we made an elevator pitch , which is basically just talking about our best qualities. For our project t page we had to put some of our projects we have done in e-Comm so far. I chose two projects from graphic design and another two from animation. We also had to include the blog posts that went along with these four projects.  What I learned I learned a lot while doing this project. We learned how to use a new program dreamweaver, all of the different tools and their functions. There were a lot of pieaces that went along with dreamweaver, compared to photoshop and other programs we have used in the past...

my logo

My logo The process I was really excited  to start this project because I've always wanted to create something of my very own. on the first day of this project we watched videos of other people creating logos. That helped a lot because after watching you knew what you had to do and you maybe even got a few ideas for your logo. Then we sketched out ideas in our sketch book of what we we wanted our logo to look like. I had no idea what I wanted to do but when I created my first idea other ideas just came. After that we choose three of our sketches to show Mr. Olsen and he talked about each one with us and gave of his opinion about which logo to use. he even gave us ideas of things to add to make the logo even better.   Then we got on illustrator and started making our logo just using...

House project

The project: These past few weeks in ecomm we have been making a house using sketch-up. We went on findmyhouseplans.com and found a house that we liked. Then we went into to sketch-up and tried to make a house that looked just like the plans we found on the website. Before we started on the house we practiced by making chairs, so it was a little easier going into the project. What I learned: We learned how to do a lot of things during this project. We learned how to use sketch up, we have used it a little before but this time we really went into detail. The biggest thing is that we learned how to use every tool and what each tool did. We learned that some tools are similar but can also do totally different things. Then we learned shortcuts and tricks on how to make parts of the house faster and make them look better too. How It went: The project went pretty well. It was really hard at first because there are so many different tools that you can use. It was also kind of overw...

ball animations

The project  We did three animations with a bouncing ball. For all of the animations we used photoshop. For the first animation we made grass using a grass tool and made different variations of the grass to make it look realistic. Next we used the circle tool to make a ball. Then we created a time line, which is how you make the ball move. You have to make multiple slides, on each slide you move the ball farther and farther. In the first one the ball was going up in down so I made the ball go from the top of the screen to the bottom. Then to make it bounce up I had to add more slides and fix the transparency. For the second one we had to make the ball bounce in an arc two times. I did the same thing as before with the grass, and with the slides except instead of going down and up the ball went in an arc. For the third one we could do whatever we want so like the second one I had my ball bounce twice then I had it go in a loop for the last part, I did that by adding more slides. ...

10 words that describe me

This project Last week in ecomm we learned how to use photoshop. Last quarter we picked ten words to describe ourselves. Then we put those words into photoshop and put the words in a certain format. After that we could change the color or font of the words. So I kept all my words the same font and changed the color of each word. I did that so my screen wouldn't look too busy. After that we had to take the words off the screen and decide when we wanted each word to appear on the screen. I took whatever word I wanted and took it off the screen on the opposite side it was placed. That way the word would take longer to get to its spot. After that I saved my project and it was done! What I learned During this project I learned how to use photoshop. The biggest thing I learned is how to animate. Ive never really tried doing anything like it before so it was really fun. I learned how to make different words come together and go into a formation. How it went This project was dif...

logo color schemes

Logo Color Schemes   Analogous  This logo uses the analogous colors of green, lime green, and yellow. I think the company chose these colors because they want to show that they are more environmentally friendly than other gas stations. This logo uses the analogous colors of dark green and yellow. I think the company chose these colors because they want to show that they're is fresh. Complementary This logo uses the complementary colors of red and green. I think the company chose these colors because they are the colors of a chili pepper. This logo uses the complementary colors of orange and blue. I think the company chose these colors because the drink is orange flavored. Warm This logo uses the warm colors of red and yellow. I think the company chose these colors because of there yellow fries and red portraits that they serve hot food. This logo uses the warm colors of red and yellow. I thi...

typography anatomy

Typography project   The project We did this project so we could learn about different fonts and how there are heights for certain parts of the letters. Also that parts of the letters are called something specific, they don't just have the basic shape that you think they would have. We also learned how to make dashed lines and arrows on illustrator so that you could really see what part was where. What we learned We learned a lot during this project, most of it I stated in the paragraph above. But these specific things I really had to focus on because they were things that were apart of my name. These things are a bowl, crossbar, aperture, descender, shoulder, diagonal stroke, counter, finial, stem, and a serif. These were all things used to identify parts of my letters when using this font. We also learned about  the sizing of letters like uppercase, x height, and the base line. Those are three heights that my letters hit. How was the project  The project ove...
