printing processes

printing processes relief printing relief printing is a process where the surface faces of the paint block are inked; empty areas are ink free. Printing the image is a simple task in inking the face of the matrix, making a firm contrast with the paper.   1.) Prep your block, you can tone it using Indian wash or jet black film ink. 2.) panorama project

personal narrative/panorama project For this project I used New York City as my theme. My parents surprised my sister and I with a trip to New York over spring break. Our hotel was right in the middle of Times Square so we were always entertained.  We were only there for four ways but they were jam packed with fun things to do. Our flight landed around 7pm New York time, but instead of having dinner we went straight to dessert. The next day we walked around and just admired the city, we stopped into a lot of the stores! The second day was my favorite day, the day I saw Wicked! We went to go see the show around noon, but I woke up so early because I was too excited! When we finally got to the show my parents told us that we were in the very front row. I had never seen a broadway show before, I want to see so many more. Th...

At first I thought it looked too busy and I just used one color but different shades to make it look ombre. But then after doing two separate color schemes I decided that I liked the multi-color option because pop art is always colorful and I wanted to go outside of the box for this project.   artists that inspired me When I started this   project I didn't know must about pop art and artists that c...
